"Love your bonus content POV idea! I'm 100% using that for my newsletter incentive!"

"You are amazing at what you do as a consultant!"

"Your time is so appreciated! I will definitely revisit the things you mentioned! Thank you so much!"

"Your detailed comments for each chapter were spot on. I'm so excited to dig into it to make it better! You're the best!"

"This is so incredibly helpful.  I wouldn't have figured out that issue in a million years; you nailed it."

"Your insight was absolutely invaluable."

"Victoria's been instrumental in helping me polish my books! Everyone should give her a try! She's witty, supportive, and scarily punctual. You'll love her!"

Think of me as your story’s second set of eyes—and your manuscript’s unofficial quest guide. A developmental editor looks at the big picture of your book: plot, pacing, character arcs, worldbuilding, emotional payoff, and overall structure. I’m not here to fix your commas (yet), I’m here to ask: Does this make sense? Is this satisfying? Did your villain just teleport without explanation?

I help identify plot holes, flat arcs, wobbly stakes, or moments where the tension fizzles instead of sizzles. I’ll make sure your slow burn actually burns, your timeline doesn’t time travel without permission, and your character development hits harder than a war hammer to the chest (emotionally, of course). My job is to help you shape the story you're trying to tell—without taking the pen out of your hand.

You still lead the quest—I'm just the wise goblin in the corner offering scrolls of guidance, snacks, and a few Aparecium spells when things get messy. Together, we turn potential into power, chaos into clarity, and first drafts into something magical.

developmental editor for indie authors

I love working with indie authors because they tell the stories no one else dares to. These books are fresh, unexpected, and full of heart—often brimming with ideas that traditional publishing wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot lance. Indie authors take risks. They explore tangled emotions, strange magic, found families, and futures that don’t fit into neat marketing boxes. Their creativity is limitless, and their passion is contagious. But far too often, these incredible stories get overlooked—not because they lack heart or imagination, but because they didn’t have access to a solid edit. That’s where I come in: to help bring polish and clarity to books that already have powerful souls.

The stories I work best in are the ones that go big—fantasy epics, reverse harems with too many feelings, multi-POV adventures, romances with emotional gravity, and supernatural chaos that keeps the stakes high and the plot twisted. I love a good slow burn, a splash of angst, a touch of war, and worldbuilding so layered you need a map (or three). Whether your characters are sword-swinging queens, morally gray immortals, or just emotionally exhausted mages trying their best—I’m already in. If your story dares to be sweeping, strange, or tender in unexpected ways, you’ve found the right editor to walk beside you.

Authors who work with me can expect a thoughtful, encouraging approach—never harsh, always honest. I’ll highlight what’s working, lovingly flag the parts that need untangling, and offer clear, actionable notes you can trust. You’ll get an editor who respects your voice, cheers on your characters (even the terrible ones), and knows that a kind word goes a long way when you’re deep in revision land. Whether I’m guiding you through big developmental edits or just whispering “maybe cut one of the sword fights in chapter nine,” I’m here to help your story grow—without ever stomping on the roots.
